First, our study in Ps 91 from Wed, Jan 20:

Dwelling in the Shadow of the Almighty (Ps 91:1-16)

Don Johnson, January 20, 2010

The keys to understanding this Psalm are the shifts in pronoun usage, from the "I" of the Psalmist to the "you" of the recipient and finally to the divine "I" of God as the Lord affirms the promises the Psalmist has been preaching. For the believer, this psalm is a great comfort as we put our trust completely in the promises of God.

Our pastor was in the hospital this weekend. Three men stepped up and stood in the gap for him.

A Day with the Lions (Dan 6:10)

Harry Lloyd, January 24, 2010

One of our men, Harry Lloyd, stepped in for our pastor after the pastor went to the hospital unexpectedly this week end. Bro. Lloyd gave a good message encouraging a commitment to calling on the Lord instead of relying on self when we are put to the test.

Israel: Past, Present and Future

Rob Perry, January 24, 2010

One of our men, Rob Perry, did his part in filling in for our pastor today by providing a discussion about the place of Israel as in history in relation to the Biblical record.

Doing What She Could (Mk 14:1-9)

Bill Carter, January 24, 2010

Bro. Carter, as an emergency fill-in for our pastor, gave us a message on Mary’s anointment of the Lord’s feet in preparation for his crucifixion.
