Dwelling in the Shelter of the Almighty (Psalm 91:1-16)

Don Johnson, January 31, 2010

Part of the Psalms series, preached at a Sun AM service

Our sermon today is the preached version of our recent Wednesday study of Ps 91. The passage ministered to our pastor's heart during a recent hospital stay and the challenge of this passage as presented today is the result. The psalmist speaks of the great blessings of God's promises, but they are blessings that must be appropriated by a man who enters into a personal relationship with God. Jesus Christ is the best example for us to follow on this, and we can see in his whole life how God truly fulfilled his promises to him and how God can fulfill them to us if we commit ourselves to him.
