The Meaning of Forever (Psalm 89:1-52)

Don Johnson, January 6, 2010

Part of the Psalms series, preached at a Wed PM service

Our psalm this week meditates on the glory of the covenant God made with David. The psalmist knows God's promises and God's meaning, but is troubled at the apparent downfall of the promise - the house of David reigns no more. The psalm is a deep groan, longing for the New Testament, when the full meaning of the Davidic covenant will be made clear.
