Free From Wrath (Romans 5:9)

Don Johnson, January 17, 2010

Part of the Romans series, preached at a Sun AM service

One of the benefits of salvation is freedom from 'the wrath' as our text literally says. 'The Wrath' in Scriptures is wrapped up in the terror of the day of the Lord, the day of wrath, that will come at the end times. Many people are satisfied with a 'faith' that guarantees them salvation from this wrath but have no thought for any effect that might have on their lives. The Scriptures show that freedom from wrath should motivate us to mortify the flesh and put off the 'slight' sins of anger, wrath, malice, evil speaking and such like. We are born again, free from wrath, we shouldn't have any room for wrath left in our hearts.
