The Influence of the Christian (Mt 5.13-16)
Today we had the blessing of a visit by Bud Talbert, a college friend and co-labourer. Bud is the founding pastor of Foundation Baptist Church in Calgary, Alberta. The church there recently called a full-time pastor and Bud is heading to Edmonton to begin a Bible college ministry for Western Canada.
Bud’s first message of the day addressed the subject of Christian influence. You are the salt of the earth. You are the light of the world. Let your light so shine . . . Our world is full of men and women who seek influence in the lives of other men. The Lord says you, too, are an influence. But is your influence a Christian influence or not?
